How to Change How You Feel From the Inside Naturally

Get High for Real

What if the real secret to transforming your life was getting high?

Not numbing out or escaping.

Not borrowing happiness on credit and paying it back with interest.

I mean getting high for real.

Because getting high isn’t the problem.

Humans have always chased altered states.

Bliss.

Relief.

Transcendence.

Connection.

The desire to feel different is not a flaw in the system.

It is the system.

The problem is we’ve been getting high on the wrong things.

Alcohol, pills, stimulants.

Endless dopamine hits disguised as success.

Short-term lifts.

Long-term crashes.

We keep using things that promise relief now and quietly steal from tomorrow.

I’m Not Anti-Drugs. I’m Pro-Truth.

Let me be clear.

I’m not a moralist.

I’m not anti-pleasure.

I ran raves.

I know what a good high feels like.

I’m also a pharmacist.

I spent seven years handing out medication to people who never truly healed, including myself. I followed the science. 

I trusted the system.

And yet something didn’t add up.

Despite all our advances, most people weren’t getting better.

They were managing symptoms.

Suppressing signals.

Functioning, but never really thriving.

Eventually, I discovered an uncomfortable truth.

Everything we’re searching for, healing, energy, clarity, emotional stability, even bliss, was never locked inside a pill bottle.

It was right under our noses the whole time.

Literally.

We Are All Drug Addicts, Just Not in the Way You Think

Hear me out.

Every human being on this planet is constantly trying to change how they feel.

When you feel terrible, you make terrible decisions.

You act from fear, reactivity, and survival.

And the results of those decisions make you feel even worse.

So what do you do?

You reach for something.

Coffee to wake up.

Wine to wind down.

Your phone for the dopamine drip.

Food.

Shopping.

Netflix.

Achievement.

Validation.

This doesn’t mean you’re broken.

It means you’re human.

The desire to get high isn’t the problem.

It’s the most human thing there is.

You’ve just been using the wrong source.

The External Pharmacy vs the Inner One

Most people live dependent on an external pharmacy.

Something outside of them has to change before they can feel okay.

But there’s another option.

An inner pharmacy, built into your biology, which can generate calm, energy, clarity, connection, and even bliss from within.

No pills.

No substances.

No belief system required.

Just physiology.

This Isn’t Woo. It’s Biology.

Before you dismiss this as breathy new-age nonsense, here’s a fact.

Cambridge University recently studied our techniques as part of broader research into breathwork and altered states.

They found that in just 21 days, people could reach the same transformational states of consciousness as a single dose of psilocybin or MDMA, the same substances now being used to treat severe depression and PTSD.

Here’s the mechanism.When you change your breath, you change your nervous system.

When you change your nervous system, you change how safe your body feels.

And when your body feels safe, everything else starts to reorganize.

Why Life Feels Like Something You Need to Escape From

Most people don’t realize they’re living in low-grade survival mode.

Stress.

Trauma.

Early life experiences.

Even the trauma of birth itself leaves imprints on the nervous system.

Those imprints live in the body, not the mind, and they show up in your breath.

Shallow, restricted breathing keeps the body braced.

A braced body creates an anxious mind.

An anxious mind creates a reactive life.

You cannot out-think a nervous system that doesn’t feel safe.But you can retrain it.

This Isn’t Just About Healing

Yes, breathwork can support trauma healing.

Deeply.

But stopping there misses the point.

My own path wasn’t clean or linear.

I ignored my mum’s advice to play it safe and become a “proper” pharmacist and ended up running dance parties for 2,000 people every month.

I was also bleeding 40 times a day with ulcerative colitis and told I’d either lose my colon or become a guinea pig for untested drugs.

I said, “forget it.”

Through dedicated practice, I healed myself.

I learned how to create my own endorphins on command.

How to boost dopamine naturally.

How to access states of consciousness most people think require illegal substances.

Along the way, strange things happened.

Synchronicities.

Opportunities.
