Everything we believe, all of the values that we project onto the world, and all of the actions that we take are a result of a set filters in our subconscious mind. They are based on imprints we receive in the first 7 years of our life. They may be what's holding us back in life. The very first imprint we receive at birth is our first breath. The first thing you do when you are born is to take a huge inhale; your first big gasp for survival. In some cases you get a slap on the back to make it happen. It’s quite aggressive.

It may not surprise you now to consider why people gasp for air when they’re stressed. Why people struggle to exhale all the air from their lungs, and why people panic when they’re told to hold their breath with empty lungs. It goes totally against our very first imprint.
